Charlie Somers started Somers Insurance Agency in 1954 at 105 E. Chickasaw in Lindsay. Mike Somers, Charlie's son, has continued in his dad's tradition of providing commercial insurance for the oil field industry as well as all other types of commercial and personal insurance.

BAINSWEST MAKES TOP 100

Bainswest, Inc., of which Somers Insurance Agency, Inc. is a member agency, was listed in the May 3rd issue of Insurance Journal as “100 Largest Property & Casualty Independent Agencies” in the United States. Bainswest was ranked 76th, in the category of sales from $100 to $250 million. The Insurance Journal is a noteworthy national insurance industry publication.

Michael Loftis, president of Bainswest, made the announcement to the members recently. “What a remarkable accomplishment for a group of excellent insurance agencies banding together to make the Top 100. I am so proud of what our team has accomplished!”
